Changes to the PBAS rules for The Copenhagen Winter Competition

INTRODUCTION

These are the changes to the original PBAS rules that apply to the CWC.
There are changes to the groups and solos competition rules.

GROUPS

4.2.4 (Open Grade - March, Strathspey and Reel) is added:

Each quintet in open grade M/S/R must play a march, strathspey and reel, each of a minimum of four measures.

SOLOS

5.2.Xa (Scandinavian Tune) is changed to:

A tune of Scandinavian origin to be played twice over. This competition is open to pipers in the beginners and intermediate levels only.

5.2.Va (Hornpipe/Jig, Former Winners) is changed to:

At least four measures of hornpipe followed by at least four measures of jig to be played. Competitors must submit two different sets on the entry form. The adjudicator will choose which set to be played on stage.

5.2.Vb (March/Strathspey/Reel, Former Winners) is changed to:

At least four measures of a 2/4 competition type march followed by at least four measures of a competition type strathspey and at least four measures of a competition type reel to be played. Competitors must submit two different sets on the entry form. The adjudicator will choose which set to be played on stage.
